I'm sitting here looking out the office window and there is a dry cleaner across the street that has a sign out front saying that they only use 'Organic Solvent'. But I don't think that means what they think it means. They are using the word organic as meaning somehow environmentally friendly, while in the context of solvents 'organic' means a chemical compound containing carbon. The non-environmentally friendly chemical dry cleaners use is tetracholoroethylene which is technically an 'organic solvent'. So I guess any dry cleaner can claim they only use organic solvents. I doubt anyone but me would really notice something like that, or at least care enough to mention it to anybody. Still kinda bothers me though.
Some e-zine wrote a review of my comic strip the other day. I don't think it's a very good review. Apparently I'm "dripping with male teenage angst." It's ok I suppose. The comic is already so unpopular that it's not like they are going to be scaring anyone away.
I'm going to see a concert tonight I think. I saw the movie Coraline this weekend. It was in 3D, which I always find unnecessary, but I suppose it was pretty good anyway. |
